The story continues...

This is the next part of my script for my movie. IT explains what happens in "draft 4" that I just uploaded.

SCRIPT

They drive out to their plane, on the airstrip they have in their back yard. And this is really funny – Hiraku runs up, does a jump, punches the roof of the plane, so the plane roof falls off and he will be able to lift their car inside. He then uses a crane to transfer the car into the plane.

Then they get inside, say Hi to the pilot, and the plane takes off.

4th draft of my movie

It's really really cool. IT was a very hot saturday morning when we made it. I was sweating, so I ended up going upstairs and listening to the iPod while Daddy finished it!!! I gave daddy all the instructions and he knew what to do. I had written a script and told daddy how I wanted the shots filmed. It was SOOOOO hot, but we had to film it that day because it was the perfect time to do it, because TIlly, mummy and my grandma were at the shops buying ballet gear, so dady and I decided it was the perfect time to shoot! I didn't know it was going to be HOT!!!!!

Pie Chart

Hi, everyone - Ollie's mummy here! Ollie said he is too tired to do this post (he's been at a claymation workshop, and the museum, and the art gallery today!!), but wants me to post the pie chart he has made. He made this by surveying people in his homeschool group about how many and what sort of pets they have. THis chart is based on "How many families have each type of pet".

Thanks to everyone who provided data for this survey!

The story so far...

Here is the outline of my movie so far, so you can see what is happening on the screen...I'll post the latest edit (draft 3) in the next post.

Rock Ya – The World Tour

We open with our heroes, Hiraku and Takashi, driving along in their hot rod. They come to a level crossing, and wait while the gates go down. Suddenly, a Kombi rushes across the trakcs in front of them, being chased by a train. “Help, help – I’m being chased by a train!”, the Kombi calls out.

Then, you hear train whistle sounds and a huge steam train rushes across, tooting its whistle. Then the gates go up, Hiraku and Takashi drive across the tracks and swerve into the street where they live. Their house is being guarded by Bionicles, who lift up their weapons, to let the car drive thru. The garage door opens to let them in. Smoke fills the screen, then the car lifts up, Hiraku presses a button, and Hiraku and Takashi are catapulted into a tunnel.

Then, they go onto their couch, which is upside-down at the top of the tunnel, and then they are swung on a catapult arm backwards into their living room. They get their suitcases, are catapulted back into the car, then – this is funny – they rev up their engine and drive through the back wall of the garage! This is because they need to get to the airstrip, which is in their backyard, and they realise they don’t have a back door on their garage, so they need to drive through!

A lot of dust comes up when the whole wall collapses, and one of the Bionicle guards runs away screaming, “I’m outta here! Ahhhh!”.

3rd draft of my movie

Now my move is getting really cool! My dad and I have been working really hard on it.

cotton wool exhaust fumes!

Here is a photo of the car in the garage with exhaust fumes coming out. (well, cotton wool!) :)

The movie continues...

Now the movie I'm making is getting really cool.

The car drives into the garage...the propellor keeps spinning...then it stops spinning, and then all of the smoke from the exhaust pipes come up, fill the screen, then go down. The smoke is really cotton wool!

I animated the cotton wool. My dad takes the pictures - and I move the cotton wool a little bit at a time so that when you play back the film it looks like it is moving.

Here is a photo of the garage set I made yesterday, with the car going into it.

We're still trying to figure out how to get a video up onto the blog - my mum is having problems getting onto You Tube and it took AGES trying to get it sorted out yesterday. She'll have another go today.

See ya,

I made a spaceship!

My little sister Tilly & I have made a flying saucer on our deck from chairs, a table, and a toy cash register. I also took my video camera on the spaceship and pretended to film outer space. I also made a movie of Till and I pretended my mum was an alien and made a little movie of her!

I'm going to spend a bit of time now figuring out how to get the film onto my blog. See you soon!

I've started making a movie!

Today and yesterday I started making a movie using Lego. My dad has bought a video camera and he's letting me use it. My dad and I do a bit of my movie every morning.

The movie is called "Rock Ya! - the World Tour". This is becuase it is about a rock band called "Rock Ya!". I am using stop-motion animation to make everything move.

Yesterday morning we did the very start of it, when our two main characters, who are rock stars called Hiraku and Takashi, are in the car and come to a central crossing. Suddenly the gates go down and the pedestrian gates close...and guess what! A Kombi races along the train track saying "Help, help! I'm being chased by a train!". Then you hear a high-pitched train whistle and a huge steam train rushes across.

Today, I had them driving in from the central crossing, then the camera follows them to their house. The funny thing is, if you know what Bionicles are, then that's what their house is being guarded by - Bionicles! The Bionicles lift up their weapons, the garage door opens, and Hiraku and Takashi drive in. And if Alex (my cousin) is reading this, then YES - they're Exoforce minifigs!!

I chose Exoforce minifigs because of their blue and green colourful hair...I thought they looked like a punk rockers hairdo, and that gave me the idea for a band.

I'm working on sets for it at the moment. And these are no normal rockstars! If you've watched Wallace and Gromit, they have all these gadgets like all the ones in Wallace and Gromit's house. Right now I'm going to work on the bathroom set, I think...or maybe the bed :)

Later I'll put some footage from the movie on the blog...if I can figure out how!

See ya, from Ollie
